This vegan-themed event is a part of the One World Festival held by The Coalition of Aid & Development Agencies (CADA NI) in October.
The specific event is due to take place at the Public Record Office of Northern Ireland (PRONI) on Thursday 24th October and is entitled “Veganism is also a development issue – so why don't aid agencies shout about it?”, and will discuss the reasons why aid agencies don’t push for the promotion of a vegan/plant-based diet, despite its obvious benefits in potentially ending world hunger and reducing the impacts of climate change.
The free public event will begin with a presentation by vegan activist Richard Deboo, followed by an engaging and lively panel discussion/Q&A featuring Cliff Grant of vegan advocacy group V Kind and a representative from the Coalition of Aid and Development Agencies (CADA NI), among others (panellists and MC tbc). The panel discussion and Q&A will discuss what challenges, if any, that promoting veganism may pose for aid agencies and the international development sector.
