This Valentine’s, surprise your loved ones with a creamy, dreamy mocha delight – vegan, gluten-free, and refined sugar-free!  

Just 5 minutes on the stovetop and a little patience to set – then voilà, an elegant dessert that melts in your mouth! 

Drizzle with chocolate, top with fresh berries and mint, and enjoy a guilt-free, coffee-infused indulgence!  

Who’s making this for V-Day?  Mocha panna cotta hearts served on a dish with edible flowers

Serves 4

Prep time: 4 hours 

Cook time: 10 minutes 

Ingredients

  • 450ml (2 cups) coconut milk 
  • 3 tbsp coconut sugar 
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder 
  • 2 tsp instant coffee powder or brewed coffee 
  • 30 grams (¼ cup) chopped vegan dark chocolate 
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon powder 
  • ¼ tsp orange zest 
  • 2 tsp agar agar powder

Method

  1. Mix together all the ingredients in a heavy bottom pan and simmer over low heat for 3–5 minutes until smooth. 
  2. Pour into silicone moulds or pudding bowls. 
  3. Set for 4 hours. 
  4. Remove from the moulds, drizzle some molten chocolate and top with chopped berries and mint.
