Extra tasty, extra saucy –Hoisin Tofu Noodles is a quick and easy winner for dinner, lunch, or any occasion! It is ready in just 15 minutes and is a great way to bring a little spice to the table.
Serves 2 people
Ingredients:
For the hoisin sauce:
- 2 tbsp peanut butter
- 4 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce)
- 1 1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar
- 1 lime, squeezed
- 1 tbsp hot sauce (we used gochujang)
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder or one clove of garlic, minced
For the tofu:
- 1 pack of Cauldron Marinated Tofu OR Cauldron Hoisin Tofu
- 200g noodles of choice
Top with:
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- Five spring onions, finely chopped
Method:
- Drizzle a little sesame oil into a non-stick pan and place on medium to high heat; once hot, add the tofu and fry for a minute or two.
- Make the hoisin sauce by whisking the ingredients together in a bowl before pouring over the tofu.
- Place the noodles in a pot of boiling water and cook for 2 minutes until soft, add a splash of the noodle water to the pan with the tofu and then mix together.
- Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onion – and enjoy!
