Certify your vegan products with the Vegan Trademark
The Vegan Trademark is an international third-party vegan certification, established in 1990 to improve the labelling of vegan products. With over 65,000 registered products worldwide, The Vegan Society's Vegan Trademark is the oldest and most widely recognised vegan certification.
Our certification can be found on a wide range of vegan products including food, drink, cosmetics, toiletries, fashion, homeware, animal care, manufacturing, laboratory tests, and more.
According to Attest surveys completed online for The Vegan Society in February 2021, over 77% of all consumers actively seek independent vegan certification. Among vegan customers, this number rises to 94%. These statistics highlight the importance for companies to get certified vegan as it instils customer trust, sets them apart in the vegan market, and makes their vegan products accessible to all.
The Vegan Trademark works with a company's manufacturers and supply chain to look at the individual ingredients in the production line to ensure that the finished product meets our high standards. For a product to be registered with the Vegan Trademark it needs to meet our standards of no animal-derived ingredients or by-products used in the production. This includes no animal-testing and management processes in place to avoid cross-contamination, as well as looking at all the ingredients to ensure they don't include any animal-derived ingredients.
The Vegan Trademark registers individual products. This means that brands can certify their specific vegan options, even if not all of their product range is vegan. Our team of Vegan Trademark experts is available to share their knowledge and assist your company in confidently showcasing your vegan credentials.
In addition to using the Vegan Trademark certification on your packaging, products, and promotions to enhance your brand's credibility in the vegan marketplace, there are other valuable benefits that come with vegan certification. These include discounted advertising opportunities with our partners, increased product exposure through social media promotion on our channels, opportunities to join us at events and trade shows and be involved in charity campaigns.
Whether you have finished products ready to start the vegan certification process immediately or you are looking to develop vegan products currently, the Vegan Trademark is here to help.

Support us with corporate engagement
The Vegan Society Business Development Department engages with corporate partners across many countries who want to support our mission in making veganism mainstream and accessible. This mutually beneficial business relationship can include referral of business and customers, joint brand awareness campaigns, special discounts, and personalised business relationships.
If you are a company that doesn't create a vegan product or service that can be certified with the Vegan Trademark such as a trade event, publication or online marketplace, then becoming a corporate partner could be the perfect way to work with us at The Vegan Society and benefit from the wealth of knowledge we have of the vegan industry.
Our corporate partners benefit from additional support where possible and practicable, which may include features on our social media, website, newsletters, and press releases. We also welcome the opportunity to run jointly-owned research with your business through our partnership with Attest.
