Not only is this tasty oats recipe a nutritious way to start the morning, but it's also super easy to put together. Why not experiment with different fruit toppings?
Ingredients
- 100g Oats – (if you don’t have scales, 100g oats is 3 cm short of one full mug)
- Cinnamon – one pinch
- 240ml Oat milk – (if you don’t have scales, 240ml oat milk is 3 cm short of one full mug)
- 2 tbsps Agave
- 8 slices of Apple
- 1 Fig, cut into wedges
- 1 small handful Pistachios
- 1-2 pinches of Sesame seeds
Method
- Add oats to a bowl
- Add cinnamon and stir through
- Add oat milk and stir through well, to make sure all the oats are covered
- Cover, and store in the fridge overnight, or for at least 4 hours. Soaking them for this time makes them really lovely and creamy.
- When you’re ready to eat them, remove from the fridge and add the agave. Stir through to combine. (If you wanted to heat up your oats and eat them warm, you could add them to a saucepan at this point and heat them gently for 1-2 minutes on the stove.)
- Slice an apple into 8 slices and add on top of the oats
- Add the sliced wedges of fig.
- Sprinkle with pistachios and sesame seeds, and enjoy!
