This whole staff training session is designed by a former teacher and SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) especially for educators who have vegan learners in their care. It is widely unknown that veganism is a philosophical belief that attracts protection under human rights laws, therefore most educators do not prioritise differentiation for vegan learners. This informative, in-person training provides hints, tips and techniques to avoid any misunderstanding and break down any misconceptions. We discuss why a family or learner would choose to become vegan, how this information can be integrated into everyday inclusive practice and the wider benefits of delivering a curriculum that is vegan-inclusive.
