Take your pizza game up a notch with this Indian-inspired, flavour-packed vegan naan pizza! Soft, pillowy naan becomes the perfect crust for a dreamy combo of spiced tofu, marinated veggies, rich tikka masala sauce, and gooey cheese. 

It’s bold, saucy, and irresistibly cheesy – ideal for date night, a fun dinner, or when those pizza cravings hit hard!  With simple pantry ingredients, this comes together in no time! 

Giving naan the pizza treatment is the boost we all need for a quick and easy weeknight meal! 

Naan + pizza = a match made in foodie heaven! Who’s ready to dig in? 

Serves: 4 Tikka Masala Naan Pizza served with garnish

Prep time: 20 minutes 

Cook time: 45 minutes 

Ingredients: 

  • 1 dry pint grape/cherry tomatoes 
  • 1 cup coloured bell peppers, diced 
  • 225g firm pressed tofu cut into cubes 
  • 125 ml (½ cup ) vegan yoghurt 
  • 2 tsp ginger paste 
  • 1 tsp mustard oil 
  • 1½ tsp coriander powder 
  • 1 tsp chaat masala 
  • 1 tsp kashmiri red chili powder  
  • 1 tsp garam masala 
  • 1 tsp dried fenugreek leaves 
  • ¼ tsp salt 

Tikka Sauce: 

  • 125 ml (½ cup) pizza sauce  
  • ¼ tsp cardamom powder 
  • ½ tsp garam masala 
  • pinch red chili powder 
  • 1 tsp kasuri methi/ dried fenugreek leaves 
  • 100g shredded vegan cheese  
  • 4 medium cooked naan  

 Directions: 

  1. To a bowl add yoghurt, ginger paste, mustard oil, coriander powder, chaat masala, kashmiri red chili powder, garam masala, fenugreek leaves and ¼ teaspoon salt. Using a whisk, mix it all together until smooth. 
  2. Add tofu, peppers and tomatoes to the marinade and toss to coat. Leave aside for a few minutes. 
  3. Add ½ cup of pizza sauce to a pan and heat. Add cardamom powder, garam masala, red chili powder, fenugreek and stir until everything is well combined. 
  4. Remove the pan from the heat and set aside. Meanwhile, pre-heat oven to 180°C. 
  5. Take one naan and spread around 2 tbsp sauce on top of the naan. Then top with cheese, and then place the marinated tofu, pepper and tomatoes on top of the cheese. Place the naan on a baking sheet. 
  6. Bake at 180°C for 9 to 10 minutes and then broil on high for 1 to 2 minutes. 
  7. Serve hot with green chutney.
