» Hoisin Tofu Noodles

Extra tasty, extra saucy –Hoisin Tofu Noodles is a quick and easy winner for dinner, lunch, or any occasion! It is ready in just 15 minutes and is a great way to bring a little spice to the table.

Ingredients:

For the hoisin sauce:

  • 2 tbsp peanut butter
  • 4 tbsp tamari (or soy sauce)
  • 1 1/2 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 lime, squeezed
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce (we used gochujang)
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder or one clove of garlic, minced

For the tofu:

  • 1 pack of Cauldron Marinated Tofu OR Cauldron Hoisin Tofu
  • 200g noodles of choice

Top with:

  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds
  • Five spring onions, finely chopped

Method:

  1. Drizzle a little sesame oil into a non-stick pan and place on medium to high heat; once hot, add the tofu and fry for a minute or two.
  2. Make the hoisin sauce by whisking the ingredients together in a bowl before pouring over the tofu.
  3. Place the noodles in a pot of boiling water and cook for 2 minutes until soft, add a splash of the noodle water to the pan with the tofu and then mix together.
  4. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and spring onion – and enjoy!
