The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a registered dietitian to join The Vegan Society’s nutrition service. You will form part of our campaigns, research and policy team, working in our nutrition team to provide reliable, up-to-date and practical information about vegan health and nutrition to the general public, the vegan community, caterers and health and nutrition professionals.

This will be a primarily remote working role, which requires willingness and ability to travel to meet the needs of the team and wider organisation when appropriate. This may be occasional funded travel to events or talks, as well as in person meetings with the wider team several times a year.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Researching evidence and responding to general queries around vegan health and nutrition.
  • Public outreach work, providing group education on well-planned vegan diets in a variety of settings.
  • Supporting campaigns and policy work in the area of veganism and health.

Who are we looking for?

  • A reliable and hardworking HCPC registered dietitian with clinical experience.  
  • Someone who follows a vegan lifestyle and is passionate about animal welfare, human and planetary health, with knowledge that includes wider aspects of veganism.
  • An organised and enthusiastic team player with the skills and ability to work independently.
  • An excellent communicator, willing to advance these skills with media opportunities.
  • Someone who is computer literate and confident using Microsoft Office and creating content across multiple social media platforms.

Salary and Hours

This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week) role with a salary of £35,235–39,513 per annum.

It is a condition of your employment that, as far as is possible and practicable, you adhere to a vegan diet and lifestyle.
