Sarah is a general commercial lawyer working with regional law firm, BPE Solicitors LLP. Sarah became vegan in May 2016 after being vegetarian for over a decade. Sarah is passionate about ensuring that the law protects vegan consumers and is particularly interested in issues vegans face around product labelling in the UK. Whether it’s make-up, cleaning products or food, it’s important that consumers know what they’re buying. Sarah believes that a legal definition of ‘vegan’ would bring some sorely needed clarity for consumers and businesses alike.
Sarah acts for businesses of all sizes, from small start-ups all the way up to international companies. She advises on and drafts a wide range of contracts including terms and conditions, distribution and agency agreements, sponsorship agreements and licencing agreements. She can advise on regulatory issues including consumer protection law, advertising, and data protection legislation. She also assists businesses with their intellectual property including trademarks, copyright and designs.
On the weekends, Sarah can often be found walking in the Cotswolds with her boyfriend and a rescued lurcher called Rolo.
