Grant Summary: We delivered informal training sessions to raise awareness of the benefits of being vegan regarding health, finances, environmental impact, and the welfare of animals, with a view to our current beneficiary group adopting a vegan lifestyle. These are residents on low incomes living in neighborhoods that fall within the top 10% most deprived areas.
Quote from Organiser: “We organised and delivered 10 public sessions in community venues in Bradford. We reached 132 people, 94 of whom we believe will now try veganism or want to learn more about veganism. As it was successful in engaging and influencing people, we intend to carry on delivering similar talks in other inner-city neighborhoods across West Yorkshire.”
