» Bubur Nasi Perang (Brown Rice Porridge)

Cosy up to a bowl of tasty and filling whole grain brown rice porridge, a comforting iftar dish to help you stay nourished, best served warm.Bubur Nasi Perang (Brown Rice Porridge)

Preparation time: 1 minute  

Cooking time: 20 minutes  

Serves: 5 servings  

Ingredients:

  • 606g (3 cups) cooked brown rice
  • 715ml water

Method

  1. Combine ingredients: In a medium-sized pot, combine the cooked brown rice and water. Put the lid on the pot.
  2. Cook the porridge: Place the pot on the stove over medium-high heat and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to medium and simmer uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring frequently, until the rice is soft and the porridge reaches a thick and creamy consistency.
  3. Serve: Serve the hot Bubur Nasi Perang with your choice of prepared dishes and enjoy!
