The stated national policy of Pizza Express is that vegan pizza can be made in any branch to special order through the duty manager. This is because their pizza bases, pan oil, tomato sauce and many 'extra' toppings are free of substances taken from animals.

However The Vegan Society is aware of specific instances where customers have been unable to get a vegan pizza made to order. We shall continue to discuss this problem with Pizza Express.
The Vegan Society will continue to offer advice to Pizza Express about the benefits to customers, themselves, animals and the planet of having a good vegan pizza marked on their standard menu.
