340g (12oz) plain wholemeal or white flour
pinch salt
170g (6oz) very cold vegan margarine
cold water

Cut the margarine into small bits then rub it into the flour and salt until the mix resembles fine breadcrumbs.
Add enough water to make a dough that is soft but not sticky.

Note: Use a hard vegan margarine where possible.
